CNYD has facilitated the growth of the Peer Network by providing support and resources as needed and now serves as the YDPN’s fiscal agent. The YDPN is committed to supporting the professional advancement of frontline youth workers - those with the most direct impact on a young person’s life. The YDPN does so with peer-led events aimed to:
YDPN believes it is critical that youth workers have opportunities to meet with their colleagues and continue to grow professionally by supporting one another, learning new skills, and increasing the visibility of their valuable contributions to youth development. The Steering Committee of the YDPN is made up of a diverse group of youth workers from throughout the Bay Area that oversees the network’s activities. The YDPN has planned a series of events that focus on building relationships across agencies, promoting dialogue on challenges and issues in the field and recruiting members for the Peer Network. The YDPN currently reaches over 450 youth workers with its email listserv and several hundred youth workers per year with its events.
